Why Feed TDI?

Advantage #1: TDI feeds have a "fixed formula".  The ingredients do not change as the grain markets fluctuate, and thus remain the same, bag after bag.  A fixed formula reduces the likelihood of a digestive upset as well as a horse being "thrown off feed".  We are proud of what goes into our feeds, and therefore each ingredient is listed by name for the customer to see.

Advantage #2: TDI feeds are heavily fortified.   This eliminates the need for costly supplements.

Advantage #3: TDI feeds use soybean meal as a protein source.  It has been proven to be the most beneficial to horses due to its excellent amino acid profile.

Advantage #4: TDI feeds have high levels of calcium and phosphorus within the correct ratios. This allows TDI feeds to be fed with either grass or legume type hays. It also helps ensure that the requirements for calcium and phosphorus are met in the total ration.

Advantage #5: TDI-16 and 12 are high in energy.   This allows less to be fed, which maximizes the potential amount of roughage (hay or pasture) that can be consumed.  This results in a feeding method that is most compatible with the horse's digestive tract.

Advantage #6: TDI-16 and 12 contain higher fat levels.  Besides helping hair coat, fat increases the energy in the feed.  Also, research has shown the energy provided by fat is more easily digested and absorbed in the foregut, in comparison to the energy provided by the starch in grains(i.e. corn).   The end result is a high energy ration that is more easily digested than conventional high energy feeds.

Advantage #7: TDI feeds have high levels of copper, zinc, and manganese within the correct ratios.  This helps in the fight against nutritional causes of Developmental Orthopedic Disease.

Advantage #8: TDI 12 and 16 Horse Feeds contain quality digestible fiber at the proper levels to provide optimum energy. This along with clean grains and no added fillers provide a pellet that is highly digestible and will not swell or enlarge after being eaten. The highly digestible fiber provided in TDI Horse Feeds along with necessary “long stem” fiber provided in hay and pasture provide quality nutrients and keep your horses digestive tract functioning efficiently.

Advantage #9: TDI feeds contain higher Vitamin E levels. Vitamin E, in an interrelationship with selenium, helps the horse’s immune response by protecting cell membranes – especially during periods of stress.

Advantage #10: TDI Horse Feeds contain proper levels of Diamond V Yeast Culture to aid in digestion and improve protein utilization.

Advantage #11: TDI feeds are pelleted. This helps reduce fly and insect problems while improving digestibility, shelf life, and storability.  Most importantly, it prevents the sorting of ingredients in the bag or by the horse when eating.

Advantage #12: We want to help!  With TDI Inc. you are only a phone call away from nutritional assistance.  If you have special concerns, feeding questions, or would like to learn of the nearest TDI Horse Feed dealer in your area, please call our home office at 800-457-7577.   We are eager to help!
